2. Data We Collect

2.1 Usage Data

When you use our service, we process the geographic coordinates you query (latitude/longitude). These coordinates are not linked to your identity and are used solely to provide the flood risk analysis. We log coordinates in anonymized form (rounded to 3 decimal places) for aggregate usage statistics only. No account or registration is required to use the service.

2.2 Server Logs

Our servers automatically collect IP addresses, browser type, and access timestamps for security, rate limiting, and performance monitoring. These logs are retained for 30 days and then deleted. IP addresses are used for rate limiting (30 requests per hour) to prevent abuse of the service.

2.3 Contact / Inquiry Data

If you submit your email through our enterprise contact form or waitlist, we store your email address solely to respond to your inquiry or notify you about API access. You can request removal at any time by emailing us at office@terraflood.com.

4. Google Fonts

This website uses the fonts Fraunces, DM Sans, and JetBrains Mono, served locally from our own server — not loaded from Google's servers. No data is transmitted to Google when you visit our website. The font files are bundled with our application.

This ensures compliance with the DSGVO ruling of the Austrian and German courts regarding Google Fonts (LG München, ruling of 20.01.2022, Az. 3 O 17493/20).

5. Cookies

TerraFlood uses no cookies. We do not use authentication cookies, tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as no cookies are set.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@terraflood.com. Because we do not collect personal data beyond server logs (deleted after 30 days) and any email address you voluntarily submit, there is typically little to act on — but we will respond promptly.

8. Data Retention

• Server logs (IP address, timestamps): 30 days, then deleted
